At Digital Food & Beverage Connect 2023, we spoke to Christina Pyke, VP Client Strategy & Growth at Circus Street, to see why they sponsored.
Christina: We sponsored in 2022 as we thought it was a great event. We loved the size, and it meant over the two days we get to network with most of the delegates here. It’s great to see familiar faces but also meet new people as well. It’s also useful for us to listen to all the great content in the sessions, because we take it back internally, share insights and work around key industry challenges with our teams.
We’ve sponsored Digital Food & Beverage Europe as well, and while I like it for different reasons, I think the size and length of this event, having it over two days with 80 Digital and eCommerce leaders, it has an intimate but fruitful balance, and it makes this event stand out.
Christina: The delegates have definitely been relevant to us. They’re all decision-makers or key influencers within big brands, which is absolutely our target. Everyone is within e-commerce or digital roles, which is directly applicable to our products so it's perfect target market.
The networking opportunities have been really good, there's always people around that you can go and speak to, it feels like quite a natural way to meet people.
Christina: I’ve attended nearly all the sessions and they’re great. The topics have been relevant and have been addressing industry challenges. It’s also interesting to see the difference between this year and last year, because you can see how much the industry’s moved on, which I think is great to see.
There’s been more panel discussions this year, which I really like, because you get to hear from different voices which is important in this industry. The addition of the round table at the end of the sessions, as opposed to a Q&A is great, because it’s a natural way to start conversations with people, which you can then carry on after the sessions.
Christina: I’ve had three meetings today and we’ve got three more scheduled tomorrow. We used the attendee profiling information before our meetings, it’s great to see the job titles and brands. To be able to look through that information and know who’s attending the meetings, it’s really helpful to prepare conversations.
Christina: I’d say it is, we sponsored last year, we’ve sponsored this year and I’m sure it’s something we will continue to do! Sponsoring is definitely great for us from a branding point of view and also a sales point of view. Sponsoring a reputable event like Digital Food & Beverage is more of what we want to be doing across 2024.
